How the Journey Works
Step-by-step progression (Stage 1 → Stage 3)
At Mattioli Woods, becoming a financial adviser is not treated as a single step. It is a structured journey – designed to build knowledge, confidence and judgement over time.
Training & qualifications (CII / CPD pathways)
To become a financial adviser, you first need to become qualified. In the UK, that means achieving a Level 4 qualification in regulated financial planning – the standard required to provide financial advice.
Mentorship and support model
The transition from trainee to adviser does not happen in the classroom. It happens in real conversations. With real clients. Making real decisions.
Time commitment & flexibility
Choosing to change career is not a small decision. It requires time, focus and commitment – particularly in a profession where trust, knowledge and judgement matter.
