“Knowing your client is where the work starts – everything else has to follow.”

For me, the most important part of financial advice is knowing your client. That’s where the work starts, and what every recommendation must come back to – their goals, their plans, the way they actually want their money to behave.

Everyone’s circumstances are different, it’s key to understanding short-, medium- and long-term plans. It’s about what matters to a client in the next few years, the next phase, and the long view. The plan shapes the structure. The products only follow once we’re clear on what we’re actually building for.

I work with a broad range of clients – from business owners looking to structure their wealth efficiently, to individuals saving and planning towards retirement. Whatever the starting point, what I find most rewarding is building the kind of relationship where clients feel genuinely confident that their money is being looked after and working towards what matters most to them. That trust takes time to build, but it’s what good financial planning is really about.

Outside work, it’s all about spending time with family and enjoying my hobbies such as football, golf and padel to name a few.
