Our process typically includes several stages: an initial application review, an assessment day, and a formal interview, which allows us to evaluate candidates comprehensively.

During the assessment days, you will participate in various activities designed to assess your suitability for our Financial Adviser Academy. This is a chance to demonstrate your abilities, meet our team, and learn more about what it’s like to be part of our dynamic environment.

Frequently asked questions about how to apply

What happens after I submit my application?

Your application is reviewed by the recruitment team, if successful you will be sent an email to arrange an initial screening phone interview.

How long does the recruitment process take?

This is dependent on when you apply. The process will include a screening call, an invitation to the assessment day, a case study exercise and finally a call back for a formal interview. To learn more about the process click here.

Do I need a driving licence?

Yes, you need to have a clean driving licence.

Will I be office based?

Yes, while in the Academy you will be predominantly based in our Leicester office. Upon successful completion of the Academy, you will move to a hybrid working arrangement. There will be times when you’re in the office however, you will also be expected to travel to clients, events and networking opportunities.

Is there much travel?

This depends on where your clients are and how you plan your days.

What do I need to do to prepare for the assessment day?

We recommend you research the financial services industry, Mattioli Woods and our Academy.

What do I need to do to prepare for the interview?

Ahead of your interview, you will be provided with topics that you will be expected to read/research about.
