Breast Cancer Now is the UK’s largest breast cancer charity and is dedicated to funding research into this devastating disease. This year, over 50,000 women will be told they have the disease and over 1,000 women in the UK will have their lives cut short by breast cancer every month. Breast Cancer Now is bringing together all those affected by breast cancer to improve the way it is prevented, detected and treated in order to stop the disease and move from a time when people fear breast cancer to a generation where everybody lives.

Over the past 12 months, staff at Mattioli Woods have undertaken a number of activities, events and challenges to raise a significant amount of money to support the charity. These included a Group-wide charity bike ride, a charity dinner at Leicester Cathedral, a ladies lunch in Preston, Tough Mudder Midlands, the Major Series in Newmarket, Glack Attack in Aberdeen and the Edinburgh and London marathons, as well as dress down days and cake sales.

Chief Executive, Ian Mattioli, who presented the cheque to Breast Cancer Now’s CEO Baroness Delyth Morgan with Mattioli Woods Deputy Chairman, Joanne Lake, commented:

“This initiative has been a great success and I would like to personally thank all our people who have made this happen. This is a true testament to the community spirit that exists in our business and I am very proud we have been able to raise such an impressive donation for a worthy cause”.
