In May 2016, Mattioli Woods' Kimberley Smith, Louisa Poole, Anisha Rana, Ed Moore, Arun Sahota, Henry Scholes, Jordan Storey-Knott, and Javed Sattar got out of the office and into the mud for Breast Cancer Now at Tough Mudder Midlands 2016!
Unlike Midlands courses of old, Belvoir Castle promised a majestic 16,000 acres? and many more lung-busting hills, in addition to woodlands, water, and tons and tons of mud!
The team endured weeks of training (and anxiety) in preparation of the big day, where they overcame hills, fire, mud, and electricity(!).
We managed to raise almost £2,000 for Breast Cancer Now from the event! Why not take a look at some of our photos below?
Right now, more women are being diagnosed with breast cancer than ever before. But thanks to research, more people are surviving. More than 80% of women with breast cancer are still alive five years after diagnosis but around 50,000 women are still diagnosed with breast cancer each year and around 12,000 of those women die. We can’t live with that. It’s time to act.
We’re focusing our energies on four critical areas: prevention, early detection and diagnosis, treatments and secondary breast cancer.
We believe that if we all act now, by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live. ?
