“Making complex financial decisions simpler, clearer and easier to act on.”
I’ve always been interested in the role money plays in people’s lives – not for its own sake, but for the opportunities, security and freedom it can create. My interest started young; long before financial planning, I was knocking on neighbours’ doors offering to wash their cars so I could save up for the latest Nintendo game. Looking back, it wasn’t really about the money. It was about having a goal, making a plan and enjoying the reward of achieving it.
That same principle still underpins the advice I give today. Good financial planning helps people make confident decisions, create opportunities for themselves and their families, and enjoy life knowing they have a clear plan in place.
I’ve worked as a Wealth Planner since 2015, helping clients navigate all aspects of their financial lives. Whether it’s managing investments, planning for retirement, protecting loved ones through life cover, making the most of tax allowances, or passing wealth on to future generations, my role is to simplify complex decisions and help clients feel confident about their future.
One of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing the difference good planning can make. Sometimes that’s helping someone realise they can retire sooner than they expected. Other times it’s helping a family feel financially secure following a major life event. Whatever the situation, I believe financial advice should provide clarity, reassurance and peace of mind.
I entered the profession after experiencing first-hand the value of good financial advice. Starting in an administrative role in 2007, I studied alongside a full-time job and gradually progressed through the industry, building knowledge and experience at every stage. Over the years, I completed 20 professional examinations to achieve Fellow & Chartered Financial Planner status, the highest level of qualification awarded by the Personal Finance Society.
The relationships I build with clients are the part of the job I value most. Financial planning often means being there during some of life’s biggest decisions and challenges. One client whose husband passed away unexpectedly called me before anyone else for help with the financial side of things. Being trusted at moments like that is a privilege, and it’s something I never take for granted. My aim is to give clients the confidence that, whatever life brings, they have someone in their corner to help guide them through it.
Outside of work, family comes first. I’m married with two children, and much of what I do is motivated by creating a good balance between work and home life. When I get the chance, I enjoy paddleboarding, keeping active in the gym and spending time outdoors.
Ultimately, my goal is simple: to help clients make informed financial decisions, feel confident about their future and spend more time focusing on the things that matter most to them.
If you’d like to work with an adviser who is genuinely invested in your future, I’d love to have that conversation.
