“If I’m this driven for myself, imagine what I’ll do for you.”
Growing up, my learning space was my dad’s hospitality business. Two businesses, hundreds of customers, and one lesson instilled from an early age: the client is everything. Not as a slogan on a website – as a genuine commitment. That mindset has shaped everything I’ve done since.
Companies talk about putting clients at the heart of everything they do – but do they mean it? Within my first week at Mattioli Woods, I had my answer. Watching senior consultants make decisions that were genuinely in the client’s best interest, even when a more commercial route was available, confirmed I was in the right place.
I now work with clients on holistic wealth management – from pension planning and Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) to tax-efficient investment strategies. I don’t come to meetings with a script. Every client’s situation is different, and my job is to understand what you actually need, not to apply a template.
Clients have described me as attentive – not just in meetings, where I’m reading body language as much as I’m listening to words, but in the follow-through afterwards. I’m driven by nature, and meticulously efficient to back it up. When I tell a client I’ll do something, it gets done. No chasing required.
That hospitality ethos my dad gave me never left. The best service isn’t about impressing people with technical knowledge – it’s about making them feel genuinely looked after. That’s what I bring to every client relationship, and it’s what I’ll bring to yours.
Outside of work, I’m a keen reader with a taste for thrillers – the kind of book that catches you off guard. In life, as in financial planning, it pays to expect the unexpected and have a plan for it.
