    Wealth Planner

“Financial advice should be accessible to everyone – clear and jargon-free.”

I’ve worked in financial services since 1993, building over 30 years of experience helping clients with their financial planning. After studying at Barnsley College, I began my career as a Financial Consultant at Royal London, progressing to Sales Manager before moving into independent financial advice. I’ve since held roles as an Independent Financial Adviser, Independent Financial Planner, Equity Release Adviser and Senior Independent Financial Adviser, gaining qualifications across financial advice, mortgage advice and equity release along the way.

I joined Kingswood Group – now part of the Mattioli Woods Group – in March 2025 as a Wealth Planner. I specialise in pensions planning and get real satisfaction from helping clients understand and access the benefits they’ve worked hard for, giving them the confidence to retire on their own terms.

I believe financial advice should be accessible to everyone. I adapt how I communicate depending on who I’m speaking with, keeping things clear and free of jargon. My approach is grounded in honesty and reliability, and I’m a firm believer that people buy from people, preferring to meet clients face to face wherever possible.

Losing my father unexpectedly at a young age gave me a personal understanding of how quickly life can change and reinforced the importance of having the right financial plan in place. This shapes both the advice I give and the care I bring to every client relationship.

Over my career, I’ve advised clients through every stage of life, from first homes and family savings through to retirement. Many of my client relationships have spanned decades, with some clients’ children going on to seek my advice in turn.

Outside of work, I’m deeply committed to my local community through Snaith Juniors Football Club, where I’ve served as Club Treasurer since 2012, Team Coach for 12 years and Club Chairman since 2022. In my chairman role, I apply for funding and grants to improve facilities and pitches for all the teams at the club. I enjoy watching football, Formula One and darts, and like going out for a nice curry.
