Following an interview with Technical Director George Houston before Christmas, New Model Adviser has published a piece on our new 26-week training course for new consultants.
Speaking to the paper, George discussed how the course would foster small groups of trainee advisers in a classroom setting, two days a week, and how each week would be themed, including topics such as tax, pensions and investments.
The course aims to get trainees to the point where they are able to develop financial plans, with sessions focusing on technical and knowledge application, and involving “lots of role plays and practical work.”
“The participants have got the knowledge they need,” said George. “This scheme helps provide them with the skills to apply that knowledge as a financial planner.”
