Rather than a refund, 101 Rothley 10k runners have requested their entry cost for this year’s cancelled race go to LOROS. This takes the final donation amount to £1,818! In normal circumstances this would be incredible but when we consider the current climate this catapults the admiration for such generosity into new heights. The Leicester Mercury documented that LOROS will have a shortfall of £1 million in the coming months so donations like these are more important than ever.
Mattioli Woods would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in the Rothley 10k and we look forward to a great event in 2021.
Tom Price from LOROS had a further thank you to say:
"We would like to say a sincere thank you to those Rothley 10k runners that have kindly donated their entry fee to LOROS. It’s donations from kind and generous people such as yourselves that enable us to continue to deliver our services. Your donation means even more to us at this challenging time, we hope to see you at next year's Rothley 10K."
