LEICESTER’S city landscape continues to transform as work forges ahead on Mattioli Woods’ new multi-million pound headquarters.
The company’s chosen location in New Walk now looks barely recognisable after more than three months of intensive construction activity.
The development – due for completion by the end of the year – will eventually house more than 400 staff in 60,000 sq ft of purpose-built office space.
It was formerly the home of Leicester City Council, whose premises were demolished in February 2015 after being declared structurally unsound.
The new mixed use development will also comprise of 54 new homes, retail outlets including restaurants, and a public area to complement attractive, tree-lined New Walk.
Mattioli Woods’ workers are being bused in on monthly visits to see first-hand how the new complex is taking shape ahead of their permanent switch early next year.
