DELIGHTED Martin Jarvis picked up a top financial services accolade – and completed a remarkable personal hat-trick.
Martin last night walked away with the title of Paraplanner of the Year at an awards ceremony hosted by Professional Adviser magazine.
It capped a memorable 12 months for Martin, 30, who recently gained a Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society and became a dad for the first time.
He said: “It was the icing on the cake really after receiving the fellowship during the summer and the birth of my son, Jack, in September. It’s been an incredible time”.
The awards – now in their 13th year - seek to reward excellence within both the financial advice community and among the broader financial services sector.
Mattioli Woods associate consultant Martin, of Glenfield, was among a clutch of professionals honoured at a black tie event at The Brewery in London.
He said: “I was thrilled - but totally surprised - to win the award, particularly given the calibre of the other people who were shortlisted.
“I see it as a reflection of the great work carried out by the whole team I am part of and a tribute to the job they do”.
Martin joined Mattioli Woods in June 2008 after completing an economics degree from Lancaster University.
His current role involves providing direct paraplanning support to group co-founder and senior adviser, Bob Woods MBE, group managing director Murray Smith and wealth management director Doug Ryan.
