Mattioli Woods is strengthening its brand with the announcement of a three-year deal with rugby giants, Leicester Tigers.
The new agreement will include shirt sponsorship on the Tigers’ home and away shirts, a dedicated Mattioli Woods stand at the 26,000 strong Welford Road stadium, corporate hospitality rights and the provision of exclusive content to Tigers fans from the start of the 2016/17 season.
Ian Mattioli, Mattioli Woods’ Chief Executive, commented:
“We are very excited about this new strategic partnership with the Tigers. It is an excellent club and their ambition and family values fit very well with our own. We look forward to this being a linchpin in opening up new markets for us.”
Whilst being very active in terms of charity and sport, including the backing of wheelchair racer and budding Paralympic athlete, Sammi Kinghorn, this is the first sponsorship deal of its kind that the company has struck with a British sports team.
“We’re delighted to welcome Mattioli Woods to our group of partners. We hope this is the start of a lengthy and successful partnership.”
The Leicester Tigers are the most successful rugby club as ten times Champions of England, with two European Cups and eight Rugby World Cup internationals. The Tigers have been the most televised team in the Aviva Premiership over the last two seasons, with total TV audience figures of over three million for the 2014/15 season.
