Scott is an experienced commercial and marketing leader with more than three decades in the wealth and investment management sector. Before joining Mattioli Woods, he held senior distribution and marketing leadership positions at St. James’s Place, Quilter Cheviot, Quilter Financial Planning, and BNY Mellon. Across these roles he built a reputation for transforming marketing, sales funnels and client experience – driving record growth, embedding data-led decision-making, and launching award-winning programmes. He has consistently bridged strategic vision with practical execution, leading cross-functional teams and designing scalable propositions that deliver measurable impact and long-term value.
Having joined Mattioli Woods in October 2025, Scott will be focused on helping the firm strengthen its marketing, business development, and client experience capabilities. He brings a deep understanding of adviser productivity, client engagement, and brand differentiation – all vital in a consolidating and increasingly regulated wealth management landscape. His focus is on uniting marketing, product proposition, and client experience to create clarity of message, improve adviser enablement, and drive the firm’s overall growth strategy.
Outside of work, Scott is married with two children – both at universities in the UK and Canada. A former rugby player, qualified coach and referee, he reluctantly hung up his playing boots last year, after admitting that recovery from Saturday matches lasted until Thursday! These days he channels his competitive energy into cycling, multi-sport fitness, and, most recently, kite surfing – a long-held ambition finally mastered on the Moroccan coast.
