After working in financial services for many years – including periods in protection insurance at Scottish Widows, financial risk oversight at TSB, strategy and corporate finance at Royal London and retail banking at RBS – David joined Mattioli Woods in August 2022.
David takes a strong interest in ethical investing and completed the Chartered Banking Institute’s qualification in Green Finance. When not advising clients, he is a board member of a cooperative society that is developing a member-owned, eight turbine wind farm in Scotland. David was previously chairman of the UK’s first consumer owned wind farm, which won Inspiring Coop of the Year 2021.
During the pandemic, David took up running (slowly) and has now memorised routes along the Union Canal, across the Meadows and round Arthur’s Seat (though never all in the same run). This partially mitigates the fact he likes wine and cooking!
