The acquisition of Mattioli Woods by Pollen Street Capital was approved by over 95% of shareholders who voted.
The offer values Mattioli Woods at approximately £432 million and represents a premium of 34 per cent. to the closing price of 600 pence per Mattioli Woods share on 7 March 2024.
Completion remains subject to regulatory approval and the next stage is for the FCA to approve the Change in Control application that has been submitted. The transaction is currently expected to complete in the second or third quarter of calendar year 2024.
Listed on the AIM exchange since 2005, Mattioli Woods is a leading UK provider of wealth management and employee benefits with offices across the country. They look after more than 11,000 clients and have £15.3 billion of assets under management, administration and advice.
Following the completion of the deal, Mattioli Woods will be delisted from AIM.
