“My clients get the financial clarity I wish I’d had sooner – and it makes all the difference.”
Most people aren’t taught how money really works – and by the time they realise, it’s often later than they’d like. I know that first-hand. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I truly understood the power of compound growth, and it completely changed how I viewed my future. That experience is the reason I do what I do today.
Before becoming a financial adviser at Mattioli Woods, I spent 20 years in consultative sales across a range of industries, including IT, digital marketing and renewable energy. The turning point came when I worked as a recruiter placing financial advisers into firms across the UK. Speaking to advisers daily about their work and the impact they had, I realised two things: I already had the core skills this profession demands, and the advice itself was too important to stay on the outside of.
What sets my approach apart is simple: I listen first, advise second. I don’t walk into meetings with solutions – I come in with questions. Understanding what matters to you, what you’re working towards, and what concerns you is where good financial planning begins. Financial planning can cover a wide range of areas – from pensions and Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) to Inheritance Tax – but it doesn’t need to feel complicated. My role is to make things clear, practical and relevant to your life. I explain everything in plain English, ensure you fully understand your options, and give you the confidence to move forward with a plan that works for you.
Many people put their finances into the ‘too difficult’ category – not because they don’t care, but because no one has made it feel manageable. That’s where I come in. Whether you’re building wealth, planning for retirement or simply trying to get organised, the starting point is always the same: what does your future need to look like, and how do we get you there?
I’m based in Leicester, married with a young son and, like many of my clients, I’m balancing family life with long-term financial decisions. I understand how important it is to have a clear plan – not just for today, but for the future you’re building.
If you’re looking for straightforward advice, clear thinking and a plan built around what matters most to you, I’d welcome the opportunity to speak with you.
