I joined Mattioli Woods in 2003 as a client relationship manager (CRM) having worked in the SSAS/SIPP industry since 1999. Working as Ian Mattioli’s CRM I assisted with the technical strategies required to meet his clients planning needs before working with other consultants with their technical queries and solutions. I founded the Group’s technical team until November 2020 before heading the Risk, Compliance, HMRC reporting and Non-Standard Investment team, with oversight of the Group Technical Hub.
Reporting to the Group Compliance Officer, I am responsible for ensuring all business activities, and individuals within the Risk, Non-Standard Investments, HMRC reporting and Compliance sections adhere to legislative and regulatory requirements, ensuring a risk and compliant aware environment exists internally, thus creating a positive reputation within the sector and with regulatory bodies.
