“Financial planning is rarely just about money. Behind every goal, concern and decision is a person, a family and a future they’re trying to build.”
Over the years, I’ve learned that financial planning is about far more than investments, pensions, and tax planning. It’s about helping people make confident decisions, navigate change, and create options for the future. Some clients come to me with specific questions, while others have more complex planning needs, but my ethos remains the same: listen carefully, explain clearly, and provide advice that is genuinely in their best interests.
Having begun my career in financial services at sixteen, I have now spent more than two decades helping people make important financial decisions. During that time, I have had the opportunity to see the industry from several different perspectives before becoming a wealth planner. That broader experience allows me to combine technical knowledge with a practical understanding of how financial decisions affect people’s lives, families and long-term goals. It also means I can look beyond the immediate question in front of me and consider how different decisions may affect a client’s financial future over the longer term, helping clients remain aligned with their goals both now and in the future.
One of the things I enjoy most about financial planning is the variety it brings. Every client arrives with different goals, priorities and experiences, which means every conversation is unique. Whatever their circumstances, understanding what matters most to them is always where the planning process begins. The financial solution is important, but the person behind it is even more so.
Although my career has taken me through different areas of financial services, helping clients directly has always been the most rewarding part of the profession. Becoming a wealth planner felt like a natural home for the experience I had built over the years. I remain just as passionate about supporting clients today as I was when I first entered the industry, and I take great satisfaction in building long-term relationships and helping people navigate different stages of their lives with confidence.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, discovering new places to eat, attending concerts and travelling whenever I can. I am naturally curious and love learning about different places, cultures and people, whether that’s through travel, history, food or new experiences. I enjoy motorsport, following Formula 1 and attending automotive events when I can. At home, life is shared with my two German Shepherds, who keep me active, entertained and ensure there’s never a dull moment.
