“The numbers matter. So do the people behind them.”
Nearly 20 years in financial services has taught me that clients don’t just need someone who knows the numbers. They need someone who listens.
Before joining Mattioli Woods, I spent many of those years as a mortgage adviser, and that role shaped everything about how I work today. Guiding people through one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives isn’t a transactional process – it demands patience, clarity and genuine care.
Clients came back to me every couple of years: remortgaging, upsizing, moving, adjusting as life changed around them. New partners, new children, new priorities. Through all of it, they trusted me to help them make sense of what came next. The relationships I built during that time were founded on trust, empathy and transparency, and those same values sit at the heart of my approach to wealth management.
I joined Mattioli Woods in 2023 through the Financial Adviser Academy, bringing with me a deep respect for what clients have worked hard to achieve. Whether you’re unsure where to start or simply want someone to make sense of what you already have, my role is to sit with you, understand what matters and give you honest, straightforward advice. Having worked within mortgage advice and both retail and commercial banking means I’ve seen money from almost every angle – and I understand how it moves through people’s lives at every stage.
Trust takes time to build and no time at all to lose. I take that seriously. Every conversation I have is guided by a genuine commitment to doing right by my clients – being honest about the options available, clear about the risks involved and consistent in the quality of advice I provide. Transparency isn’t just something I aim for; it’s how I work.
My advice covers holistic wealth management, including pension planning, investment solutions and Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning. These are areas that can feel complicated until someone takes the time to explain them properly. I’ll always make sure you understand what’s happening with your money and why – because clarity is what allows good decisions to be made with confidence.
When I look ahead to the next 20 years in this role, success won’t be measured in figures or assets. It will be measured in whether I acted with integrity every single time, and whether clients felt genuinely looked after. That’s the standard I hold myself to today, and it’s the one I’ll keep holding myself to.
Family comes first outside of work. I have two children who keep life full and busy, and when I get a moment to myself, I enjoy long walks and following Newcastle United with the kind of optimism that every new season demands.
