After a successful career in investment banking, Jody was appointed to the role of Business Development Director upon joining Mattioli Woods in January 2015, although his connection with Mattioli Woods can be traced a little further back to 2005 when he played a key role in Mattioli Woods’ AIM IPO advisory team.
Jody’s background is in equity capital markets, having spent more than two decades advising plc boards and private companies on capital raising/liquidity events, IPOs, M&A activity and institutional investor relations. He brings an extensive knowledge of capital markets and a broad contact base of directors, advisers, private equity and venture capital specialists.
At Mattioli Woods, Jody has a wide-ranging remit that has a particular focus on clients within sport, family and owner-managed businesses, and professional services partners across our core expertise of financial planning and employee wellbeing. Jody also sits on the Private Investors Club committee and works closely with the discretionary portfolio managers and the Tax Efficient Planning team. At the start of 2023, Jody took on the more broad-based role of Strategic Partnerships Director.
Away from the office, Jody is a keen sportsman, playing hockey and, when the water is warm enough, attempting to surf, mainly in North Cornwall. Having spent most of his life in London, Jody and his family recently moved to Leicestershire.
